FMC Kongsberg Services Ltd has a position vacant for a Workshop Supervisor. If you are interested in taking on a challenging role in a demanding environment then read on. The successful candidate will be based at our Wellington Circle site in Aberdeen, within the Workshop Group and will report directly to the Workshop Manager.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for ensuring HSE and Quality requirements are continuously maintained.
Liaison with all internal departments to ensure effective, efficient and timely execution of projects.
Responsible for the development, training and continuous appraising of staff to facilitate maximum contribution from department members.
Responsible for return to work interviews, probationary appraisals and one to one’s.
Develop excellent working relationships with internal customers.
Ownership to and implementation of internal work processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for the effective and efficient management of workshop and S.I.T activities.
Responsible for monitoring overtime within the agreed budgets and workload demands and efficient resource planning.
MAIN TASKS:
Supervise all shop floor and S.I.T activities to ensure maximum utilisation of personnel through resource planning and monitoring all activities to ensure delivery and product quality requirements are met.
Ensure good working practices and house keeping in all activities.
Ensure accurate quoting of rework activities, costing and back charging of all consumables and direct/indirect labour hours.
Provide status reports to the Workshop Manager and Workshop Support Supervisor on a weekly basis.
Chairing toolbox meetings.
Annual appraisals on all Workshop staff.
Maintain Competency Matrix.
Development of Cell Leaders and their job functions.
Maintain Training Matrix.
Implementation of training scheme for apprentices & fitters.
Attend Base meetings as and when required.
Management of Workshop Test Equipment.
Experience & Qualifications:
Educated to HNC minimum within a mechanical background.
Strong supervisory experience.
Extensive Industry experience.
Extensive experience in a Oil and Gas rework facility.
Strong Planning and Organisational skills.
Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to develop subordinates within the organisation.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment – FMC equipment knowledge would be beneficial.
