Key Job Responsibilities for these positions: • Responsible for all subsea engineering interfaces for MODU arrival • Responsible for subsea input to D&C programmes and preparation of subsea (eg tree change) programmes • Co-ordination of supply, maintenance, testing, repairs, pre-shipment checks and shipping of all owned and rental subsea equipment. • Ensure all subsea equipment (including ROV) is suitable, functional, compatible, serviceable and available. • Co-ordination of all subsea system stack-up and integration testing • Liaise with and manage all relevant vendors and third parties. • Attend planning meetings, risk assessments, IFO’s and any other events relevant to subsea equipment and offshore execution. • Responsibility for ensuring all subsea documentation, SOP’s, Safe Lifting Radii are updated and accurate • Ensure that subsea completion and ROV operations are performed in a safe, environmentally aware and cost effective manner. • Ensure all appropriate risk assessments and toolbox talks have been performed • Liaise with and co-ordinate offshore vendors (including ROV) to ensure all preparatory work, including function and pressure testing, is performed and witnessed. Ensure all required equipment is available and serviceable. • Liaise with platform personnel during well commissioning / handover including completion of all subsea aspects of permits and well handover certificates. • Timely completion of subsea daily report and provision of subsea input to the DDR. • The capture of information and data for well integrity, reliability databases and end of well reports. • Responsible for writing the subsea work instructions and ensuring all relevant parties have reviewed. • Unless stated otherwise in the Bridging Document, during a rig alarm or emergency situation, the Subsea Engineer is required to attend on the rig floor and assisting with the securing of the well / disconnection as required.
Every subsea engineer has a responsibility to follow the Chevron Way and in particular to contribute to and comply with DCG Operational Excellence Plans and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to: • Working as part of the DCG and offshore rig team to achieve agreed objectives • Checking and monitoring of subsea contractor programmes and practices for safety or environmental implications as well as operational efficiency. • The sharing and inclusion of best practices in work programmes • Contribution to lessons learned / process improvements
Required (Basic) Qualifications: • 5-8 years offshore subsea experience within a Drilling & Completions environment would be expected of a successful applicant. • Experience will have included running subsea equipment and managing subsea work scopes. • Expertise with onshore preparation and load-out of equipment • Experience working offshore (3 months / yr) and onshore • Ideally have experience supervising a small team • Preferably have experience working with a variety of subsea suppliers.
