Our client is an international upstream Oil & Gas company with the majority of its production carried out in North America, the North Sea and Southeast Asia and is committed to conducting its business safely, in an ethically, socially and environmentally responsible manner. They are currently looking to recruit a Subsea Controls Engineer based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a multi-disciplined subsea team to ensure the correct architecture and integration of the subsea control system to control subsea wells, manifolds from the new infrastructure • Identify and manage the critical interfaces where the subsea control has an impact or where other areas impact on the subsea control design • Develop the subsea control and umbilical philosophies and strategies required for the development of the subsea fields, including the possible use of Subsea HIPPS • Develop a HIPPS strategy to define the requirements and processes required at each project stage in order to ensure the development of a suitable system • Work with other subsea disciplines to provide advice on the required legislative compliance, for the development and management of a Subsea HIPPS system • Manage the development of Control System, Umbilical and Subsea Instrumentation Specifications • Participate in the tendering process for the provision of Subsea Control System services including preparation of ITT packs and tender reviews, leading to vendor selection • Manage the control system vendor to ensure delivery of the Subsea Controls equipment for the project • Provide all subsea controls input to the project • Technical approval of engineering with respect to control systems • Develop and Manage Control System Spares philosophy and strategy in conjunction with the selected vendor
