Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Take lead role in evaluating and planning Cymric light oil projects. Work closely with earth scientists, production engineers and facilities engineers to analyze, plan and implement reservoir development projects. This includes performing lookbacks, analyzing well data, supporting business plan development, tracking reservoir processing of light oil reservoirs, and providing accurate gas, oil, and water forecasts for future developments.Develop and refresh a Light Oil Asset Development Plan (ADP) which requires leading a team with contributions from earth science, production engineering, facilities engineering and decision analysis experts.Required Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in EngineeringMinimum of 5 years experience in Petroleum Engineering including:Extensive experience in light oil production forecasting, reserve calculation and reservoir surveillance.Experience in development and management of light oil reservoirs, including drilling and workover procedures.Experience with planning and executing stimulation of low permeability and naturally fractured reservoirs, including hydraulic fracturing and acidizing.Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and mentor others.Ability to clearly convey concepts, assumptions and methodology in oral presentations and written reports with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated experience in computer skills /analytical skills - MS Office, advanced spread-sheet (Excel, Oracle, etc.), Visual Basic, programming, query, macros.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with waterflood reservoir engineeringFamiliarity with project management tools, processes & behaviors to ensure good project decisions, excellence in execution.Experience with decision analysis tools Knowledge of LOWIS and SAP.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
