Job DescriptionManage and direct, and implement regional safety initiatives to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinates:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following but not limited to:• Establish as necessary and promote all aspects of Tuscany Drilling's Quality and HSE Systems and documented procedures.• Set objectives and KPI's for all direct reports based on operational performance.• Ensure. that job descriptions, standards of performance, quarterly performance reviews, performance evaluations, and succession planning are implemented for everyone under his/her supervision• Assist Operations Manager and Base Managers in developing safety policies and procedures to be followed by regional personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.• Consult with all departments on design and use of equipment, shops, fire prevention and safety programs.• Inspect drilling rig locations and organization facilities to identify potential accident and health hazards, and implement corrective or preventative measures where indicated.• Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in self assessment and customer reviews.• Compile and submit accident reports required by local regulatory agencies.• Gather, analyses and distributes statistical information in summary format.• Develop, supervise, and coordinate training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.• Prepares and arranges safety exhibits and material for display, promotional work, industry conferences and exhibitions.• Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.• Maintains safety files and records.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES• HSE Coordinators and AdvisorsQUALIFICATIONS (Only local Brazilians are to be considered for this position)   • Must come from a oil and gas services background and/or Operator environment with the emphasis is on Drilling disciplines.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE •Professional degree preferred. -Certified Safety Professional - Safety Engineer (licensed)-Must possess min. 5 years experience as a QHSE Manager.LANGUAGE SKILLS •Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English..WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position works inside and outside of the office environment of  Tuscany Drilling. Must be able to travel domestically and be able to work in conditions on rig sites that vary greatly by rig location.
