Role Synopsis   This role will require a specialized engineer who can support E&P operations in the assessment, Prioritization, and Management of Risk. This role requires an understanding of the E&P production operations, equipment layout, and process safety implications. This role applies engineering skills to evaluate hazard potential consequences and associated likelihood related to production operations. The role may help in determining appropriate mitigation options and support prioritization of these options.  Key Accountabilities  Provide risk assessment technical expertise to the Alaska Region -Support Major Accident Risk Assessment activities for the Alaska Region -Support the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) process and action item closure. -Support Continuous Improvement efforts in Risk Management Process -Support Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance -Facilitate minor HAZOP and HAZID studies -Setup and support ad hoc risk assessments as needed -Conduct process safety MoC risk reviews -Support the development of Risk mitigation action plans  Essential Education   B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.  Essential experience and job requirements  5+ years of relevant experience - Experience working in or supporting the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry - Knowledge of risk assessment techniques - Knowledge of process hazard analysis techniques  Desirable criteria & qualifications  Experience with practical application of SIL assessment techniques and determination/design of mitigations. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -experience with writing Technical Reports -Demonstrated track record of working well with leadership, and co-workers -Experience leading process safety hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies. -Knowledge of relevant oil and gas industry codes, standards, and regulations associated with process design and process safety engineering.
