Our client, an international oil and gas super major is looking to recruit a Petrophysicist. You will be responsible for delivering fully integrated petrophysical support to a number of field teams from within a small centralised group of petrophysicists.As a senior member of the team, you will help lead the development of the petrophysical work programme for the North Sea ensuring full integration across reservoir management, base management, new well delivery and exploration and appraisal.You will report directly to the petrophysics team leader and will work within an integrated team environment team (petrophysicists, geophysicists, geologists and drilling engineers). The following roles and responsibilities are envisaged: - Provide petrophysical support to tagged field teams in all areas including new well planning and delivery, log interpretation, surveillance planning and operation, reservoir description, core analysis and seismic rock properties - Help define regional data acquisition contracting strategy and the service company performance monitoring system - Coach and mentor less experienced members of the petrophysics team and aid their technical and career developmentMust have a university degree as well as relevant industry experience including:-- Open Hole Log Analysis experience - Experience working with a multi-disciplinary subsurface team involving engineers, geologists and petrophysicists - Experience using Techlog or a comparable software suiteA good grounding in petrophysics is required along with any of the broader skills. Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists and partners are necessary. In addition to the essential qualifications, the successful candidate will likely be able to demonstrate: - Production and Cased Hole Log Analysis experience - Integrated rock-type based petrophysics experience - Core Analysis (Conventional & Special) experience - Subsurface Integration experience *** Due to visa restrictions you must already have the right to live and work in the UK ***
