Chevron Australia is seeking an experienced Petroleum Engineering Technical Team Leader to join the Non-Operated Joint Venture (NOJV) team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for reservoir performance and management, providing technical support to major capital projects (MCPs), generating probabilistic forecasts, coordinating reserves estimates, deliverability and production optimisation. You are also expected to identify areas for improving recovery and reliability. The successful candidate will be able to liaise with joint venture partners (JVPs) and progress projects through Chevron’s project management process. Key responsibilities include:• Supervision of a team of Petroleum Engineers• Liaison with the operators, JVPs and government authorities• Participation in technical meetings• Project management and coordination of NOJV projects• Coordination of technical reviews • Working as a core team member of multi-disciplinary teams and interface with facilities engineers and commercial coordinators• Reservoir modeling and development of long-term production forecasts • Provision of reservoir and petroleum engineering skills in the area of reservoir performance and monitoring, assurance process and project management• Coordinate reserves estimates and analysis for NOJV assets• Provision of mentoring and training to subsurface teams and ensure best practices are shared and integrated into asset teams• Budget preparation and support to strategic and business planning• Preparation and coordination of subsurface programs• Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practicesKey skills and experience required:• Extensive petroleum engineering skills gained from previous experience in a similar leadership role• Strong understanding of integrated subsurface analysis, petrophysics, well testing, drilling and completions technology, DA and economics in general• Strong reservoir engineering skills in areas of PVT, SCAL , wellbore performance, processes and field development planning • Demonstrated skills in integrated production modeling using IPM/IAM (MBAL, Prosper, PVTP and GAP modeling) • Reservoir simulation modeling experience • Strong working knowledge of Petrel, CHEARS and ECLIPSE would be highly regarded• Experience in risk analysis and uncertainty management planning • Knowledge of experimental design, decision analysis and network optimisation• Familiarity with the North West Australian gas assets or close analogues would be highly regarded• Strong team leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to successfully engage across cross functional teams • Proven ability to work with joint venture partnerships would be advantageous• Self motivated and a results orientated team player with the ability to prioritise activity on multiple workfronts and identify new value adding opportunities• Ability to integrate work with a broad group of asset teams, project teams and functional specialties and contribute to team dynamics• Demonstrated commitment to Chevron’s values of integrity, partnership and trust and achieving an incident and injury free environment In return for these skills, attributes and experience, Chevron Australia will reward you with an exciting role, a competitive
