We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work with the Rabigh Petrochemical plant in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be part of the Rabigh II expansion program within the Chemicals business, which is a key part of our Accelerated Transformation Program.Minimum RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills and experience, having managed a number of projects from the design stage through completion.Ideal candidates will have mechanical engineering project management experience within the petrochemicals industry. Candidates must have excellent English communication skills.Duties & Responsibilities• Provide technical mechanical design to company process units and oil handling facilities, including the coordination of engineering work to solve major problems on quality of manufactured products and crude oil processing.• Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex engineering problems.• Support the development, and formulate the basis for, engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by analyzing and evaluating data, including scope, effect on existing installations and economic value. • Initiate detailed work outline and make decisions as to basic approaches, processes and/or equipment. • Perform work and/or delegate work to other engineers for final development of specialized or technical proposals and proposed projects.• Long range planning and reviewing of cost estimates.• Discuss, coordinate and resolve problems with personnel throughout Saudi Aramco, subsidiaries and outside contractors. Acts as technical consultant when required.• Recommend new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within broad fields of endeavour
