Job Details: Finance Manager

Scope of the Role:

(including geographic spread, direct reports etc)

• Plan and control all accounting activities, coordinate and assure to comply with all financial procedures and controls.
• Responsible for the accounting, accurate & timely, of all financial company operations according to the accounting principles.
• Responsible day to day for managing and ensure the reliability and integrity of financial information, comply with corporate policies, Brazilian Law and accounting principles.
• Compliance with all Wood Group reporting requirements and deadlines.
• Ensure an effective Financial service to business unit of WGPSN Brazil
• Practice of controlling revenues and costs of inputs, activities and outputs.
• Responsible for budgeting control and preparation.
• Responsible for tax compliance and planning.
• Responsible for working capital optimization.

Other responsibilities as member of the Management team in Brazil

Responsible for:

(including supervisory/managerial duties, health & safety responsibilities)

• Responsible for managing the direct reports assigned to the position, developing them and ensuring high levels of performance.
• Responsible for counselling on financials matters the Company’s economic decisions.
• Responsible for financial indicators to internal and external areas.
• Responsible for Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss.
• Responsible for timely taxes preparation and filling.
• Responsible for compliance of state and federal government reporting requirements and tax fillings
• Responsible for managing the relationship with external and internal auditors.
• Responsible for identify ways to minimize the company tax liabilities each year in accordance with current tax laws.
• Responsible for maintain timely liaison with project and operation managers to identify financials necessities of contracts, compliance with local and state tax regulation where contracts are executed; define internal control and procedures; and  ensure the adequate accounting.
• Responsible for keep update all contracts that support intercompany transactions.
• Responsible for Cash Flow management.
• Responsible for maintenance updated financials formal written procedures

Responsible for maintenance of fixed assets control

Person Specification (type of person and the skills required): 

Education/Qualifications (desirable/required):

Professional Degree: Accounting. Desirable Financial Post graduate studies.

Technical/Business Skills & Experience:

(e.g. project management methodologies, negotiating terms & conditions, cost models etc)

• At least 7 years of experience in Accounting or Financial areas in large company or Firms (ie PWC).
• Excellent English (read, write, and conversation).
• Fluent on Portuguese or Spanish. Preferable as native language
• Knowledge and Experience in internal controls.

Knowledge and Experience international accounting.
