Provide electrical engineering expertise to the company and assist with major subsea control systems projects. Design and develop control system electrical equipment to customer specifications and make sure it complies with current industry standards (API) and recommended practices. Carry out engineering calculations and deliver functional input to projects. Create high quality design/engineering documentation including but not limited to, design specifications, electrical schematics, assembly drawings and test procedures for SEM, HPU, MCS and other subsea and topside control equipment. Assist with equipment testing and provide functional support to manufacturing and service departments and utilize PLC programming as required. Utilize production lifecycle management tools to ensure project work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of delivery. Specify and procure equipment to meet requirements. Oversee documentation created by other engineers and technicians and proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients. Provide guidance and ensure quality of work of Junior engineers and Technicians.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years progressive experience providing electrical engineering support to relevant project design work. Will also accept a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 3 years experience providing relevant project design work. This position also requires skills in subsea controls equipment (SEM, HPU and MCS for Control Systems); PLC Programming; creation of high quality design documentation and API standards.
