The candidate can be a Geologist, Geophysicist or Petroleum Engineer . - Have experience as a Country Manager and/or has managed an E&P project from initiation to drilling. - Must be able to read and write French. - Have experience working and living in Chad, Cameroon, Senegal, Mali or Sudan. - Have an understanding and appreciation of the host country culture.
Responsibilities:
Start up and manage a new exploration and development office in Central Africa for an established independent exploration company with headquarters in Houston.
Hire staff and manage geological and geophysical studies
Manage environmental studies and sponsor local community development projects.
Oversee seismic data acquisition for exploration and development of onshore Central Africa blocks.
