We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to become a part of the newly formed Chemicals team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. You will be a key part of Saudi Aramco’s Accelerated Transformation Program.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law or a Business discipline and at least 6 years of experience as a contract advisor within the oil and gas, petrochemicals or other related industry.
Candidates must have excellent English communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Will be responsible for the drafting of a wide range of consulting contracts. • Initiate guidelines, coordinates activities and provides technical expertise to assure the proper and timely development and/or maintenance and administration of contracts, maintaining conformity to the accepted corporate contracting policies and procedures, and meeting the proponent technical/operational requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. • Provide complex technical advice and support to contract proponents from the conception of contract service requirements through the execution of a contract to the termination of the contract or service requirements. • Direct and participate in the development of engineering and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative. • Coordinate and/or participate in the development of a professional level of analyses of the scope of work for various contract services, including the company risk or exposure. • Participate as the contract proponent representative in a professional analysis of bid response and negotiation of offers and preparation of counter offers. • Negotiate with contractors as part of a negotiating team. • Coordinate or participate in the preparation of responses to contractor claims and represents the proponent on Claim Review Panels. • Provide proponent representation in the administration of contracts and works with Finance, Law and Contracting in the development of financial and legal advice on intent of wording, scopes of service or other clauses that may impact quality of service, cost of services and cost/benefit relationships. • Successful candidates will be dealing with a variety of contracts within the petrochemicals industry, ranging from low-value contracts to mid-value contracts, particularly consulting contracts as well as carrying out a number of ad hoc projects, such as operations planning and speech writing.
