BP’s North Sea Finance Division is seeking candidates to fill a variety of commercial and financial analyst vacancies. The opportunities cover a range of roles from commercial operations, planning and performance, financial and project analysis which deliver the integral parts of the North Sea operations and Finance agenda. The successful candidates will be placed within the Finance teams in key roles with significant responsibility in supporting Divisions, Projects, Hubs or the Region centrally. The roles will require individuals to be self starters with strong interpersonal skills, bias for action and an ability to work with and integrate across multi disciplinary teams. These roles offer great development opportunities to enable progression in a Finance function within BP.
Key accountabilities
The roles will encompass some/all of the following:
Undertake economic, investment & financial analysis and evaluation in support of investment/new business decisions and long term strategic options.
Build a strong financial understanding of the Region/Asset/HUB through its P&L, cash flow and balance sheet.
Identify and execute income and cash generating options.
Support integration of site planning activities.
Own and maintain Financial models which comply with BP’s Economic Evaluation Methodology standards.
Ensure the approved long term plan that is robust, verified and updated regularly and is integrated by all major stakeholders.
Develop and use close working relationship with a variety of different disciplines - Finance, Subsurface, Wells & Operations teams to deliver the right business outcomes.
Provide analysis of movements in support of BP Group financial forecasting and reporting submissions.
Involvement in supporting Divisional and Regional performance management processes.
Essential Education
• Degree educated
Essential experience and job requirements
Background in either commercial or financial analysis,
Good communication, influencing & inter-personal skills,
Self starter and capable of working independently,
Have demonstrable experience in a finance role,
Have an in-depth understanding of sources of value & drivers in Operating field/terminal activities.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
Degree in Finance / Economics or Business discipline or a Accountancy Qualification.
Relocation yes – Domestic (In country) only and travel negotiable
