A Major Operator requires a Civil, Structures Engineer to join the team in Bangalore, India for a 2 year contract.
The successful candidate will Provide technical expertise in Civil and Structural engineering including rejuvenation of aging civil assets to enable Projects & Technology to deliver competitive services and projects for our customer.
Carry out or coordinate Civil and Structural engineering activities for the purpose of concept evaluation, concept definition (FEED), detailed design or construction and asset rejuvenation including inspection and maintenance requirements.
Support customers with technical advice, best Shell and Industry practices and competitive global standards to enable top quartile operating performance.
Contribute to networking of Civil and Structural engineering practices throughout the skill pool, being at or targeting Subject Matter Expert recognition.
Actively coach and mentor junior engineering staff in both technical and leadership development.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Civil Engineering B Sc or M Sc degree, or equivalent with minimum 15 year experience in oil & gas or related industry. 2. Experience of using international Civil, Structural, Geotechnical codes and standards used in the oil and gas processing industry. 3. Ability to design and specify civil structures, with a strong knowledge of steel & concrete technology. 4. Specify and manage Onshore or Offshore Geotechnical Investigation and foundations design. 5. Experience in the technical evaluation and cost estimating for facilities options. 6. The ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds is essential and you should be keen to work in project locations across the globe. Fluency in English language is essential.
